Contains all loose bookplates acquired--without regard to acquisition date--except those that are part of another collection, pasted into a scrapbook, or otherwise deemed too difficult to include. Though the bulk are American, some English ones are included. Engravers and artists represented include the following: Nathaniel Hurd, Henry Dawkins, Peter Rushton Maverick, Joseph Callender, J. J. Barralet, Joseph H. Seymour, E. D. French, James M. Kershaw, Thomas Johnston, Amos Doolittle, Elkanah Tisdale, Simeon Smith Jocelyn, and Paul Revere.
